Aspen Afternoon

The brilliance of autumn as it bursts forth on this September day causes me to reflect upon the beauty of all of the seasons. This watercolor was inspired by a photograph I took while on a  road trip near Aspen, Colorado.  I particularly liked how the tall tree trunks framed the fiery mountain vignette in the distance, so of course I painted it. 
 
Archival giclée print, with a double mat (white outer mat with thin inner mat in an accent color.) Framed in chocolate brown wood as shown, 11" x 14." Also available matted & unframed, and as an 8" x 10" with a single mat, either framed or unframed.
