Open Studios Mobile Art Lab
Encouraging communities to explore artistic expression through visual arts.
The goal of the Open Studios Mobile Art Lab is to encourage children, teens, and adults to tap into their creativity, explore artistic expression, and make a positive impact on their communities through the visual arts. In partnership with Open Studios member artists, the Mobile Art Lab has facilitated art-based experiences for the general public and within Boulder County’s underserved communities. You’ll find the Mobile Art Lab at Gallery Boulder Junction, farmers markets, festivals, and other events throughout Boulder County.
Annual Valentine Project
The Open Studios Mobile Art Lab’s biggest project is the creation of hundreds of Valentine cards for delivery to area Meals on Wheels recipients each February. Open Studios artists, family, friends, and Boulder County community members all pitch in to create one-of-a-kind Valentine’s using cardstock, decorative papers, pens, pencils, ink, paint, glue, stickers, ribbons, and other found materials.
