The recent works show a playful use of wheel-thrown ceramic techniques juxtaposed with electric and volatile glazes that develop in wood fired and stoneware reduction. The pieces are exploring variations on functional traditional forms with the intent to elevate useful daily objects for the home into fine art. These objects are all unique, steering away from the repetition of production forms in playful ways.
