Book Arts League
THE BOOK ARTS LEAGUE is dedicated to preserving the ancient arts of the book – from calligraphy & typography to printing & hand bookbinding. We offer hands on instruction and guidance for students of all ages and all backgrounds in many facets of the book arts. Our collection of historic letterpress printing equipment provides insights into the history of communication and is available for public use either in class or rented studio time. We encourage all book enthusiasts to join us for putting words to paper and pages to books which elevate books to art.
The Book Arts League has been championing book arts for the entire community since 1995. We host a multitude of printing and hand bookbinding workshops in our location in the East Groundworks Art Labs building. There, we have a fully equipped letterpress printing studio with two large Vandercook presses and a Pilot platen press as well as classroom space.
