Brenda Brouillet
As a child, I grew up collecting shells on the beaches of Southern California before moving to the deserts of New Mexico. I returned to study in Long Beach, CA, where I earned a BA in Art, focusing on painting and ceramics.
I began making jewelry with my mom when I would go to spend time in Durango, CO, sitting alongside her, helping by string beads. The beauty of the gemstones drew me in with the unbelievable colors that nature creates.
In 2017, the desire to work with gems took me from beading to learning metalsmithing in Oakland’s Silvera Studio and then at Boulder Metalsmithing Association. I now live in Lafayette, CO.
