Recently retired from teaching art in Boulder Valley school district for 32 years, rheumatoid arthritis suddenly hit, which limited my abilities with drawing and painting and tiny sewing. I knew I had to find a medium that would bring me passion and beauty and interest to patrons. I use beautiful fabrics, ropes, threads, vintage buttons, and recycled leathers sewn together on the sewing machine (and some hand sewing) to create layers of interest and beauty as art forms and utilitarian vessels.
