Linda Faul
Linda moved from Long Island, NY, to Colorado in 1973 to study Fine Art at the University of Colorado Boulder, becoming a full-time artist in 1998. A fixture in Boulder County’s art scene, she has participated in Open Studios Boulder since 1998, the Longmont Studio Tour (1999–2021), and the Plein Air Governor's Show (2021–2022). Her work is exhibited in Colorado galleries like Boulder Open Studio Gallery, Creative Framing Gallery, and The Glass Tipi Gallery, as well as galleries and private collections across the U.S.
Known for her vibrant, mixed-media paintings blending realism and fantasy, Linda captures southwestern landscapes, Colorado’s mountains and plains, and Florida and California beaches. Her signature buffalo paintings are highly sought after. A classically trained artist turned contemporary painter, she begins with plein air studies, layers acrylic and gesso, and finishes with detailed oil work. Linda also teaches studio and plein air workshops.
