Jennifer Letter
I am a metalsmith drawn to the physicality of metal -- its weight, its resistance, the strength it carries. My work is rooted in traditional techniques: alloying, forging, finishing by hand. These slow, deliberate processes, allow me to create work that feels both ancient and modern-objects with presence and intention.
Texture is essential to my work. I want every piece to invite touch and carry a sense of history. My goal is to create modern pieces that feel substantial; pieces that resonate with the past, but are clearly made for the present.
