My work explores entropy across registers, social, political, environmental, geological, and the strange sensation of inhabiting systems that are visibly breaking down while pretending otherwise. I'm drawn to the fact that everything in the universe eventually comes apart, and to how that knowledge presses against daily life, whether we acknowledge it or not.
Lately, this search has expanded into geological time, where empires are brief flickers and the slow weathering of stone and clay becomes its own testimony. Thresholds and entryways have become central: the worn doorway, the fractured arch, the passage held in the moment just before collapse.
I work as something of a material mad scientist, building architectural fragments and vessels from ancient traditions, then pushing them toward failure with degradable additives, structural stress, and chemical interventions, freezing the breakdown so it can be examined rather than mourned.
