Renata Hromadkova
Tree Sky EcoArt is the collaborative practice of Renata Hromadkova and Vit Kohoutek, based in Boulder, Colorado. Working primarily with locally sourced urban wood, they transform fallen and removed trees into sculptural furniture and functional works of art.
Their practice begins with the belief that every tree matters. Each piece of wood carries its own history through its natural form, grain, scars, and growth patterns, which guide the design and making process. Through carving, shaping, and hand-finishing, they give these trees a second life while preserving the character that makes each piece unique.
Their work explores the connection between nature, material, and human experience, reflecting principles of biophilic design and a deeper appreciation for the natural world. Sustainability is woven into every step of their practice, from sourcing reclaimed urban wood to creating lasting objects that invite people to slow down, connect with natural materials, and see possibility in what might otherwise be discarded.
