Michael Hoyer (she/her) is a fifth-generation Boulderite and artist and teacher of many stripes. She handcrafts minimalist sterling silver jewelry characterized by clean lines, smooth satin finishes, and geometric negative space. Her designs — including handmade oval link chains, recycled sterling silver cuffs, and hefty wide-band rings — serve as staples of everyday adornment for people who appreciate minimalism and wearability, with a touch of elegance.
Michael designs, forms, and finishes everything herself, so each piece is one of a kind — with the exception of her Capital Letter pendants, which she hand-fabricated from square wire for casting in various metals. For Michael, creating in the metalsmithing studio provides refuge from the world’s chaos.
