Tom Foster
Tom Foster, a Boulder, Colorado nature photographer, uses an entry level DSLR camera with a 300mm zoom lens to create a unique style of photography, using contrast between the subject, the background and foreground, color, and natural light, to compose stunning images “in camera.”
The images are unedited, leaving just light, at the time the photo is taken, as the only variable. Tom's choice of printing and framing, using dye-sublimation on recycled aluminum, with a float frame, completes the simple process. Using the Golden Ratio, the artist creates simple images that, at a closer look, appear complex.
Tom’s prints have been displayed and sold in Boulder County, Colorado, and in Omaha, Nebraska, including gallery cataloged prints, and dozens of prints in private collections around the world. Tom's prints are on permanent display at various outdoor art sites in the greater Boulder area and are sold as limited prints.
