In my pottery studio, magic unfolds through touch. Each piece begins as humble clay transformed by hands that have practiced their craft from France to Cork, Ireland, and now Boulder. My work celebrates the beauty of imperfection and the elegance of handcrafted ceramics. As primarily a hand builder, I embrace the subtle variations that make each piece unique. Nature's simplicity guides my aesthetic through neutral palettes and clean forms, often enhanced with delicate hand-carved details.
Creating ceramics requires patience and surrender. Each piece journeys through multiple stages—shaping, trimming, carving, sanding, drying, bisque firing, decorating, and glazing. Finally, I entrust my work to the kiln gods, where heat and chemistry reveal each piece's true character. This methodical transformation from raw clay to finished treasure brings me joy and fuels my passion.
