Megan Morgan
Megan Morgan is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the textures of lived experience through burlap, tusche washes, drawing, and printmaking. Her process begins with fleeting sensations that spark layered, tactile explorations in the studio. Burlap is central to her practice—its coarse weave and raw physicality embody struggle, strength, and a raw honesty. She cuts, layers, paints, and prints with the fabric, letting imperfections guide the work. Tusche wash adds softness with marks that blur, bleed, and leave a powdery grit, echoing uncertainty and openness. Treating materials as collaborators, she follows felt impulses that evolve through making. Drawing, printmaking, and sculpture become parallel languages for giving form to her art. Her work holds tension between clarity and ambiguity, fragility and force, inviting viewers to embrace contradiction and imperfection. Megan lives and creates art in Colorado.
