Steven Homsher
Raised in rural Pennsylvania, I spent long hours wandering fields and woods, absorbed in a state of wonder and observation. The natural world—its subtle shifts, its layered mysteries, and especially the ever-changing qualities of light—formed my earliest and most enduring sense of enchantment.
This way of seeing continues to shape my practice. My work emerges from an ongoing inquiry: between simplicity and complexity, care and risk, knowledge and mystery. I approach art-making as both discipline and devotion, a process of attunement to what is revealed by light. I am engaged in a steady, evolving process of refining, experimenting, and letting go.
