Brent Hollingsead
As an impressionist artist based in Colorado, my work explores the divine design in all things, and our human connection to it. Through heavy textures, layering, abstraction, and spontaneity, my creations are inspired by dramatic lighting, nature’s serene and wrathful moods, and its interplay with the human experience. Whether painting en plein air or working in my studio, I always draw inspiration directly from nature, using its forms, colors, and energy as my constant muse.
Geometric mysteries are collaged underneath rich layers of painterly strokes and splatters, where experimentation and rhythmic patterns emerge. My process is a dance between intention and chaos; a meditation and journey that explores what it is to be human. Years of graphic design work has sharpened my compositional eye, but painting lets me escape the confines of screens, embracing the unpredictable, tactile energy of creating by hand. Through my art, I hope to inspire others and reveal the connective force in all things.
