My roots are in the traditions of classical realism, I draw on decades of study in Europe and the United States, layering centuries-old techniques with a contemporary sensitivity to narrative and atmosphere. I paint from observation creating works that balance precision with mystery. Whether depicting the human figure or the humble arrangement of a still life, I aim to honor the tangible world while inviting viewers into a space of reflection—where presence, beauty, and impermanence meet.
My influences range from John Singer Sargent to the emotional depth of Sorolla and Velázquez, artists whose command of light and gesture continues to inform my pursuit of visual truth. Each painting is an invitation to slow down, to witness, and to rediscover the extraordinary within the ordinary. Through this practice, I seek not only to preserve a tradition but to keep it alive, evolving, and relevant today.
My degree in illustration was in Cambridge England
