My practice is rooted in the tradition of realist still-life oil painting, yet I deliberately disrupt its expectations. Objects are suspended in moments that feel both timeless and unsettled, reflecting the instability of our present world. Some of my work explores the moment when the physical form falls away, yet something essential remains.
Each painting holds an open narrative, allowing meaning to shift between artist, object, and observer. The familiar becomes quietly disorienting. I find poetry in overlooked everyday objects, uncovering subtle tensions that echo our shared condition. Painting on Belgian linen — steeped in history — lends intimacy and quiet gravity, while light and texture invite viewers to reconsider what appears known, yet remains unresolved.
