My color choices are often guided by emotions shaped by memories and daily experiences. Moving paint across a canvas helps ground me and creates space for self-awareness. Once the paint dries, I embellish the surface with a fine liner pen. This step continues the grounding process, while carefully choosing each line turns the work into contemplative art—pieces where viewers can pause, wander, and discover their own stories.
Drawing lines—what I call “chasing lines”—is a repetitive, meditative movement that invites reflection. Even outside of painting, I return to this practice almost daily. While my hands work continuously, my mind is free to wander.
This approach evolved naturally. My earlier work focused on acrylic pours and landscapes, while doodling existed separately as a private practice. Experimenting with acrylic paint—adjusting density, water, and mediums—encouraged exploration. I often noticed forms in the paint—forests, coves, water, or even the universe—that felt incomplete.
