My process starts with photography. I then turn my photos into silkscreens.  By layering thin glazes of encaustic between the various silkscreen images, I am able to achieve great depth in my work.  I try to always adhere to the 20, 20, 2 rule:  to grab your attention at 20 feet, to draw you in for further investigation at 20 inches, and to provide a surprise at 2 inches.  I love to reward viewers who take the time to peruse my work.  I am not big on symbolic meaning or great inspiration — I am motivated by color and line and the call and response method of working.  I also love teaching and will be offering an expanded curriculum this fall.
