Barbara Olson
Barbara is a fiber artist, creating with her hand painted and dyed fabrics, adding machine and hand embroidered stitches to create layers that are then quilted together. She creates fabric by dye painting, low water immersion dyeing, painting with textile paints, mono printing with acrylics, stamping, silk screening, and stenciling with acrylics and dye paint. Her work emphasizes texture and color, is generally abstract with some realistic images included.
Her art communicates the depth of her personal journey as well as her love of nature.
