Laura Anglin
Rooted in close observation of the natural world, my focus over the past four years has shifted almost entirely to clouds, sometimes depicted in isolation and sometimes suspended above a minimal landscape. I see clouds as a kind of language, quietly communicating what is to come or what has just passed. Their fleeting nature makes them an enduring and compelling muse.
Rather than depicting a specific place, my work emerges from imagination and memory. This approach allows me the freedom to capture not just a scene, but a feeling, the sense of wonder and quiet magic found in the natural world.
