Peg Connery-Boyd
I am an oil painter focusing on the beauty of the natural world, primarily landscapes and florals. I learned to paint in a very realistic tradition, working from life, painting and drawing figures, portraits and still life for about 10 years, before moving to the west and becoming mesmerized by the vast and amazing landscape that surround us.
My work has become more and more abstract as I have embraced a desire to paint what I feel about a scene, rather than attempting to create a realistic copy of what I see. I am also a Reiki master, and I believe that my painting reflects the light and spirit that I feel when I am working.
I have been exhibiting and selling my work in a few venues in the Boulder area, including Osmosis Gallery in Niwot and the Tumbleweed Art Collective in Longmont, where I also teach oil painting workshops. I enjoy being part of the vibrant art community in Boulder County and sharing my love of painting.
