My work explores the spirit and symbolism of the natural world through expressive, layered painting. Inspired by Colorado’s wildlife, including buffalo, horses, birds, and native landscapes, I create pieces that capture both presence and energy.
I begin with intuitive mark-making, often embedding words beneath the surface and allowing each painting to emerge through movement, texture, and light. These hidden layers become part of the story, reflecting themes of resilience, transformation, and connection to place.
My work bridges realism and abstraction, inviting viewers to feel the wildness, strength, and quiet beauty of the land and the animals that inhabit it.
