Chuck Ceraso
I approach painting as an arrangement of colored shapes that create the visual sensation of the objects, people, or landscape that Iām painting. I seek to create a color harmony that reflects my visual sensation. I paint primarily with a painting knife and less so with brushes. I most often paint on gessoed boards, which provide a wonderful surface for the knife that allows me to paint rapidly. Oils are my favorite medium and make up most of my work, along with some work in pastels as well.
