I have been having fun with the arts for years. Mobiles have been my mainstay. Movement is my mojo. Selecting materials form the basis of the structure. Adding color can increase the dynamic nature of the movement, but the balance and fluid motion makes it all come together.
After years of focusing on art for the indoor environment I have now stepped outside. While the materials are more robust, the Sun, the Clouds, the Wind and the Rain all factor into the whimsey of these pieces of garden art. Movement is still a central theme. Even if the pieces themselves do not move, they depict objects that do.
While some of my pieces are similar, no two are the same. Ideas are born, plans are made, accidents happen, failure occurs, and most of the time the finished piece surprises me! That is what keeps my artistic exploration fresh.
