For more than 40 years, I have chosen wood as the medium for creating one-of-a-kind pieces of sculpture, furniture and doors. I have developed a deep respect for this once-living material… an intimate understanding of the story told by each knot, crack and grain. I like to think that the unique spirit of each tree is preserved in the art I create with its wood. My doors make a powerful first impression for the private homes and public spaces where they are installed. My sculpted wood forms add beauty and balance, warmth and whimsy. The naturalness of wood infuses my doors and other works with an inherent calm and quiet strength – an antidote to the frantic pace of today’s world.
