OPEN STUDIOS PLEIN AIR EVENT RECEPTION

Join us at Chautauqua Auditorium in Boulder on June 11 for the exhibit, reception and art auction. Artists from around the region will show artwork they’ve created out-of-doors during the week-long plein air competition. All the art is of scenes from around Boulder County. Meet the artists at the reception at 4:00, view the exhibit of between 100 and 200 pieces of original art, and cast your bids for your favorite scenes in the silent auction and during a fun-filled live auction at 5:15.

Doors open to see the exhibit, Sat, June 11 at 2:00.

VIP Meet-the-Artists Reception (Ticket Required) from 4:00 to 8:00.

2022 Plein Air Event Awards Juror, Jane Hunt

Jane Hunt was recently ranked by ArtdataIntel as the twelfth most awarded artist in the U.S. Her paintings have been exhibited in museums internationally and she’s represented by galleries across the US, as well as her native England. Hunt is a Master Signature Member of PAPNM and WAOW, a Signature Member of AIS, OPA, LPAPA, AWA, PAAC, and an artist member of the Salmagundi Club and the California Art Club. Now based in Colorado, she frequently paints plein air, and continues to be awed, and inspired by, the beauty surrounding her.

Schedule for June 11, 2 – 8 pm:   Event, Auction and VIP Reception. See the exhibit, meet the artists,  and cast your bids for your favorite scenes in a silent auction and during a fun-filled live auction.  Tickets for the Exhibit (Free) & Meet-the-Artist Reception (ticket required $25 + service fee). 

• 2:00  Doors open. Come see the art and begin placing bids on Silent Auction artworks 

• 4:00 - 7:00  VIP Meet-the-Artist Reception on The Terrace (ticket required $25)

• 5:15  Silent Auction paused for Awards Presentation & Live Auction of award-winning art

• 6:30 (approximate) Close of Live Auction & re-opening of Silent Auction for final bidding

• 7:15 - 8:00 Close of Silent Auction, patron check-out and pick-up of purchased artwork

NOTE: Guests not attending the VIP Reception may view the exhibit and participate in Silent and Live Auctions. All guests, whether bidding or not, are welcome to watch the award presentation and the live auction.
