As far back as I have memories I have had a pencil or crayon in my hand. Art is intuitive for me. In my home town of Fargo, North Dakota, I spent my college years in the barns of the agricultural college painting the farm animals.
My love of animals continues to this day. Our culture has a clear distinction between animals, plants and humans. In my work I try to blur these boundaries and make the seemingly impossible... possible!
As the mother of five children, some of those "mothering" qualities find their way into my pieces. I find a great deal of joy in creating my whimsical works and I hope my viewers are also able to find that.
