I’m is a local artist with an international perspective. I’ve lived on three continents but has come to call Boulder, Colorado my home.

Growing up in South Africa during the age of apartheid, I observed the juxtaposition of incredible beauty and profound injustice. I struggled to maintain the family clothing factory in the face of dramatically changing social and economic realities, but in the wake of the collapse of the clothing industry, I left South Africa to find a better life in charming Somerset in the West Country of England where I enjoyed a very different type of life in a dramatically different environment.

It was in South Africa where I developed my sense of beauty among the mundane and derelict, but it was in Somerset where I had the time to reflect, and develop my artist’s perspective, while traveling in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
