I believe that art is a universal language that connects us all, viewer and artist alike. I paint to face my challenges, express my joy and to capture moments from my life. It is both a journal of my travels and a reflection of my experiences . I am most attracted to watercolor as it is such a spontaneous and versatile medium. I love the brightness and freshness of the color and the manner in which "happy accidents" just occur when trying to control the flow of the water. I challenge myself to go with the flow and be bold in my color choices. The play of light and shadow, shape and value do so much to tell a story and give it life. I love the quirkiness and randomness of a moment and try to capture it.
