Michael Hollenbach, artist, educator, father, husband, community member. I have always had a passion for the visual arts. Ever since I could remember, I have been making things to express my thoughts and feelings about the world around me. My primary focus in making art is to express shapes, colors and patterns. This is how I communicate the best.

Since 2015 my primary focus has been on painting on two-dimensional surfaces such as canvas. I create bold and expressive images that tell stories for the viewers to immerse themselves. I never want to stand in one place when it comes to making art. I feel unrestricted and untapped when it comes to the creative process. I feel like I shouldn't just make one style of any kind of painting. Instead, I feel free to express myself on canvas in many styles, systems and processes.

A side note to the reader, I suffer from severe dyslexia and always I've had trouble, especially my ideas in written from. I truly believe if it wasn't for this wonderful gift, I would have never found my calling and the arts!
