As an artist and gardener, I am particularly drawn to the beauty and complexity of plant life and use this as a starting point to experiment with concepts, colors, and composition. My goal is to listen and pay attention to where the piece is leading me which often is different from what I originally thought I’d do. Together the art and I go on a journey which can be transformative. My practice of creating art often involves a mix of traditional media such as acrylics and oils as well as newer additions such as alcohol ink and watercolor pencils. Through my art, I hope to create a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world, while also inviting viewers to allow their inner child to come out and play.
