My painting efforts are most inspired by the people and geography of Colorado, as well as the high-altitude environs that offer a dramatic quality of light. I am interested in the implied abstract qualities of my subjects, and in celebrating the palette offered through careful observation of color. I seek an immediacy in my work—based on intention, gesture and, hopefully, an interesting composition.
