My work consists of colorful, semi-abstract paintings, mono-prints and mixed media pieces from a number of different series and themes. The work may be done in acrylic or oil, wax, and sometimes experimental printmaking, to achieve the finished piece. They may be completed in a session or two, while some may be in my studio for up to a year to be tweaked and worked on until finished. Often the art captures moments of whimsey, and hope, THE HAPPY HOUSE SERIES. Some are more reticent, themes of our impact on the earth, perhaps grief, FORESTS OF MY FATHERS. And some themes capture the mysteries we live with daily, THE DREAM SERIES.
After completing undergraduate work in Art and Education in Colorado, I went on to pursue a graduate degree at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I was resident painter at The Anderson Ranch in Snowmass, and recently worked at the Ballinglen Art Center in Ireland. My work is shown at D'art Gallery in Denver, Osmosis in Niwot, Pop Gallery in Boulder, and The Colorado Women's Caucas for Art.
