Art and travel are in my bones.
It’s a compulsive need to always be exploring new territory. I’m endlessly curious about all the ways life and art show up. From suburban Boston, to designing in the corporate fashion world in New York and London, then leaving that life to travel the world and grow myself as an artist. All of these lives are present in the work that I do. Living close to nature in the Rocky Mountains adds further layers, and I look to integrate it all through imagery, texture, color and text.
My paintings are journeys to some mythical abstract place. They arise out of the moment in my studio, and make evident the moment of pushing off from the shore. Each stroke is a moment of discovery and each painting is a map to some strange and sacred place that does and doesn’t exist.
